The first night in each place, I put in a link for the place I’m staying. Click on the link, and it’ll take you to the page of whichever B&B or guesthouse I’m staying in, along with all the contact information. I’ll also make sure that you and Mom have a full list of contact numbers before I go.

Perhaps you could note, in each “overnight”, the name of the place you’re staying; with a phone # if you can — just so in the event of some “crisis” at home we can contact you, and/or leave a message at their check in.
Your itinerary doesn’t seem to me to be quite clear in this regard.
Just a thought Rick; you can consider and decide.

I don’t know how much time you have in Dublin, but if you get a chance to the Literary Pub Crawl. We did it our last night in town and it was a highlight of our trip.

We didn’t get to do a black cab tour while in Belfast in November 2009, but we fell in love with the city and the Antrim Coast. Our day at Bushmill’s, Giant’s Causeway and Dunluce Castle was one of my favorites of the trip.

Ulster museum is amazing! I loved it. I thought the Crown was not nearly impressive as it looks on the outside. I’m jealous of how much detail you were able to go into on the Antrim coast! We did a coach tour; so although we saw those places, we never got to linger for quite as long as we would have liked. Enjoy!

Thanks for letting me know which tip you liked! I always try to pass along all the info needed for traveling to Ireland. I would hate for anyone to be there with no access to ATMs.

I agree that my book is not for everyone. Those traveling around by public transportation or organized coach tour and those who want to “rough it” in hostels are probably better off with different books, depending on circumstances. But I always say there is no one book that is right for everyone. That’s why there are many choices available. I have two huge bookcases full of Ireland travel books I have accumulated over the years. I still have the first book I used in 1973 – “The TWA Getaway Guide to Ireland”. I wish the prices were still the same!

You are in Ireland right now. Hope the sun is shining on you.
